Brands

Which factory builds which brand

Buyers usually arrive with a brand and a reference number, not with a factory name. These pages map the two, reproduce the third-party tests that exist for that brand, and state what has never been measured.

A brand page here answers one question: which factories are publicly reported to build a given brand's references, and on what evidence. It reproduces third-party test results, marks everything never measured as unverified, and dates every reading. One brand page is published so far; the rest are listed as in preparation.

Counts are of pages published on this site and of listings seen in the dated sample of public catalogues. A high count is not a judgement about a brand or a factory; it only says how much public material exists to read.

Common questions

What does a brand page cover here?

Which factories are publicly reported to build that brand's references, the third-party tests that exist, and the claims that remain unverified. It does not recommend a factory, and it does not recommend a seller.

Why are some brands listed with no page?

Because nothing verifiable has been collected for them yet. A brand appears here as soon as public evidence exists to work from, and stays marked in preparation until then rather than being padded out.

Are factories ranked by brand?

No. These pages reproduce third-party test results with their limits attached; they do not rank factories, do not name a best one, and do not accept payment for a place in a table.
